We’re here to fight for young people and students. It doesn’t matter how big or small your problem is. Let us know and we’ll listen. We fight for any issues we believe are being ignored by the wider political community and sometimes even the Liberal Democrats itself. We also run campaigning events such as protests and action days. We also represent Welsh youth and students to Liberal Youth as an organisation.
We have been at the forefront of the party’s campaigning efforts on tuition fees. When Plaid Cymru and Labour broke their manifesto pledges in the Assembly, it was us who organised the protest against it. Many of the current Executive were outside the Assembly begging the Labour and Plaid Cymru politicians there to listen to us. They didn’t, but the Welsh Liberal Democrats did.
Our members have the opportunity to determine the direction of our organisation. We run our AGM alongside Welsh Lib Dem conference, where we engage with our members informally and closely. We also work closely with Liberal Youth.
